The area around Contentigne has so much to offer the visitor: crusader castles, breath-taking chateaux, markets, village fetes, way-marked walks and cycle rides, canoeing, animal park, competition standard karting, caves, museums, Limoges porcelain shops and factory visits, and many leisure lakes.
The nearest leisure lake is only 4 kms away. Here you can start your velo-rail journey, pedalling along a disused railway line, for 7 kilometres and back, through glorious countryside. It is at this lake that you can also try the tree-top adventure trail - dare to ride the giant zip wire that crosses the entire lake!
